Engagement Card

We were off to an Engagement Party this weekend in Gatton. Here is a card I made for the happy pair. I used the Apothecary Art Stamp Set with Night of Navy and Pool Party Cardstock and a bit of Brushed Silver Card as well. The card was inspired by several cards by my good Stampin Up friend Carolyn Lindenmayer. You can visit her at her blog http://carolynscardcreations.blogspot.com.au/

It is a bit hard to see but I have made some of the little pool party flowers 3D.
And I have used a frosty glitter technique with the Baroque Border Wheel.
This technique uses white craft ink sprinkled with a mixture of heat and stick powder and dazzling diamonds and heat embossed to make it nice and sparkly.

Gatton is in the Lockyer Valley and a farming area. The father of the bride to be wanted to show us his calves. So here I am looking not so keen on the idea of tramping around a cattle yard at night! hehe! Especially with all the cow pats to avoid. Bad news - Clem walked in a lovely "fresh" one. p.s. calves weren't that keen on meeting us either! haha.

  1. This engagement card is very pretty, love what you did. Pity the farm photos are a little dark, can't really see how apprehensive you were!
