No Cut Christmas Gift Card Holder.

Christmas Greetings to Everyone today!
My last post before Christmas and I wanted to show you this amazing No Cut Folder by Australian Stampin Up Demonstrator Di Barnes and tweaked by American Stampin Up Demonstrator Patty Bennett.
I will have links for you at the bottom.
It is made from one sheet of 12 x 12 designer paper. No gluing  or cutting - just scoring and folding!

Remember too that you can always click on the photos if you want to enlarge them to get a closer look.

Here is the first one I did using Home for Christmas DSP and a Punch art Santa on the front.
You score at 2 , 6, 10 inches
then turn the paper and score at 2 1/2 and 8 1/4 inches
Make sure you check out the links below to see how to fold.

And here is the inside. I made a greeting card to go under one flap and on the other side is where you put your Gift Card (I didn't have one at the time so just made a pretend one so you can see where it goes.)

Here is a close up of the Santa.
Two large scallop circles for his beard.
Place an extra large oval in pink pirouette on top for face.
Scallop  circle for hair on face.
Extra large oval punch in real red for hat.
Mustache framelit for mustache.
Small circle for nose and pompom.

I then made another no cut Folder used Merry Moments 12 x 12 dsp but this time I used Patty Bennetts measurements to create a wider spine in the middle.
This allowed me to place inside - 2 Christmas notecards and envelopes and on the other side I place 3 gift tags.

The difference in the scoring is
Score 2" , 5 3/4" , 6 1/4 " and 10 "
Then turn and score at 2 1/2 and 8 1/4 "

Now you don't have to be limited to gift cards and tags with this folder either.
If you start thinking you will be surprised how many different ideas you can come up with.
Tea bags/ Small single package cadbury biscuits/ freddos/ Scratch-its / small notepads.
I bet you can think of lots more!!!

And as promised here are the links for you. Click HERE FOR DI BARNES. She has a file you can download.

And Click HERE FOR PATTY BENNETT This is a youtube video on how to get the wider spine.

A VERY HAPPY CHRISTMAS FROM ME TO YOU!

Angel Punch Art Card

For a few years I have been wanting to do some Angel Punch Art. This year I finally got my act together and made some.
There was plenty of inspiration on Pinterest for me to draw from and this is mine.
Isn't she lovely.

This little angel is all about hearts and circles! What else would you expect! haha.
Unfortunately a lot of the punches I used are retired. But I am sure you can adapt this angel with products you have.

I used the large 2 1/2" circle for her body and ran the circle through an embossing folder.
Then I just folded over two pieces to make a point at one end.

The wings at the back and the white sleeves are hearts. Sleeves are a heart cut in half.
I stamped little stars stamped in Crushed Curry from the Happy Scenes Stamp Set (Holiday Catalogue 2015) onto the wings and then added some gold glitter.

The head is pink pirouette 1" circle. Blushing Bride sponged cheeks.
Hair is Crushed Curry (the top of another retired heart punch). I added some glitter to her hair and sleeves. It looks white in the picture but not in real life. Just all sparkly. Like an angel should be.
Halo small oval punch (retired) in gold foil.

So there you are  - another quick Christmas project from me today!
One more to show tomorrow then I am off on a short break from blogging land while Christmas is in full swing.

Come back tomorrow for the final blog before Christmas.
It will be worth it! hehe.
See you then. Vx

Elf on the Shelf Box

Well not quite an Elf on the Shelf,  but the dangly legs on this box remind me of him. And it is so much fun to place on the edge of a shelf.

I saw this great idea on the web. Oh I do feel bad too, because I always like to give credit for great ideas I see. But you know what? I tried, really tried to find where I saw this idea originally, and spent a considerable amount of time looking everywhere and to no avail! sigh. So apologies to the clever person who came up with this. They are so very sweet...and best of all easy to make!

I thought it would be great to pop my elf tic tacs inside with a Mint Pattie and maybe some Peppermint Tea. Elves and Peppermint seem to go together don't they???

The box was super easy. I decided on the size myself. The front of the box is 8cm square and the sides are 4cm deep.
12 cm x 26cm
Score at 4cm, 12cm, 16cm, 24cm
Turn and score at 8cm.
Cut up score lines to 8 cm mark. Cut end piece off.
Fold and stick together.

For the braces, cut two strips 1.5 cm wide. You can make them as short or long as you like. Mine were about 24cm. I just glued them on the inside of the boxes after drawing my lines on with the Chalk Marker.

Other things you may like to know.
You can decorate the front and back with patterned paper if you like - I used Merry Moments dsp.

The red triangles are from the triangle punch. The scallop white collar is from the Square scallop punch cut in half. (both retired)

The buckle is from the square punch with the 3/4" circle punch cut out of it. Then just a small strip glued across where the circle was punched out.

Legs are wide red grosgrain ribbon, You just glue the ribbon under the last flap of the bottom of the box.(Make sure the legs are coming out the front of the box -not the back! haha.- ultra- important!)

Shoes are the Extra large oval punch and then I turned the punch on an angle and punched out the top of the oval to get my shoe shape.

Hope this all makes some sense to you?
Off to do some last minute shopping for Christmas. Only a few days left and so much to do!
Come back tomorrow for another Christmas Post. Vx

Tic Tac Elf Holder

A couple of years back I did a cute snowman Tic Tac Holder

christmas+workshop+2012+and+downline+meeting+017.jpg
and this year when shopping I noticed the Red and Green Tic Tacs ... and my mind got to thinking....what about an Elf Holder!

So home I go with my Green and Red Tic Tacs and started to work on my idea. I was struggling with which size punches to use. Couldn't quite get the size right. When I thinks to myself..."Pinterest!!"

I type in "punch art elf" and what do you think the very first picture is??!!! Give up???

A Tic Tac Elf Holder! LOL!

So thank you to Kimberley from Stampingbythesea. I was able to adapt my little elf from hers.

 Punches used:
Circles
Heart
Scallop Circle
Oval
Bird Builder

Cardstock:
Whisper White,
Very Vanilla
Cucumber Crush
Real Red
Glimmer card Dazzling Diamonds

(sponge dauber in Blushing Bride)

Here is the inside...whoops the Tic Tacs have slipped down. I have them stuck on with a couple of glue dots.

This was a fun little project. I used Tutti Fruity flavoured Tic Tacs too.
Great little fun stocking fillers and Christmas thankyou gift.

Pop back again and I will show you the little Elf Box I made to pop these inside of with a couple of other goodies.

Until then keep counting down the days! Not long to go now before Christmas!

Another Quick and Easy Christmas Gift

As promised I am into fast and easy Christmas gifts at the moment.
Keeping with the Winter Wonderland theme (I still had a post it note holder left over) I decided a little bag of Christmas Gift Tags would be a great and useful idea.
Here are the tags.
I made 8 tags of two designs. Just very simple stamping in black and heat embossing.
Then added a little bit of Winter Wonderland Designer paper at the top and bottom.
And some gold glitter glue spots.

A post it note matchbook holder.

Here it is bagged up in a Stampin Up paper bag with matching Winter Wonderland Card.

And finally a photo of it all together. Doesn't that look like a great little gift for someone special?!

Pop back again soon and I will have that elf project I was working on to show you.
Thanks for stopping by. Vx

Winter Wonderland Quick Gift Bags

Well it is officially December and I am into my last minute gifts, wrapping and cards.
With only a few weeks left till Christmas ...out the window goes all my wonderful ideas and plans for complicated, technical, gorgeous gift-giving...
and in comes ... the quick and easy... faster the better ideas! LOL!

Come and see what I made for my work mates.
I bought them all a lovely candle holder and found some cute Christmas tea lights on sale in Woolworths. I already have the Winter Wonderland Cards made for them but what to put them in?
I found these cheap plain gift bags and decided to decorate them with Winter Wonderland Designer Paper. A doily and a Stamp from Cozy Christmas Stamp Set. Add a gold glitter star and you are done!

I made a little sticky note matchbook holder as well to tuck inside the bag.
I just love it when everything co ordinates!

How great does this look!
Now I can't wait to give it to them this Friday at the work Christmas Party. Should be fun!

Come back soon and I will show you another quick and easy project using the Winter Wonderland set.
Until then I am off to work on some elf projects. hehe.

Trees in the fields :Lots of Joy

Hello Happy Stampers!
Here is a card that was in my head and I just had to try and translate it into reality!
You know what I am talking about don't you???!

Best thing is...I think it worked fairly well.
I wanted to showcase the Merry Moments designer paper.

I just cut the 3 pieces of designer paper in wavy lines and trimmed them down to the size of the whisper white card stock I was gluing them to.
Added three punched trees that I put in the tiny triangles embossing folder and them some pretty rhinestones.

 How easy is that!!
Loved it. I also used the new thicker white cardstock for the base of this card.

Thanks for popping by. See you again very soon. Vx
