A Jar full of... Part one.

The jar in Perfectly Preserved with the matching framelit is sooooo good. (p.29 of the Holiday Mini)
I had so many ideas for filling this little jar I just had to share some of them with you. Starting off - an idea that wasn't mine - A jar full of ... Leaves!
Okay so this card is an Absolutely 100% copy from a lovely Demonstrator called Vicky Hayes. She is a Master of Clean and Simple Designs and so innovative as well. I just had to show you how great her work is. You can view more of her fabulous designs on her blog Crafting Clare.

Here is a closeup of the jar. Can you see I did add some dazzling diamonds to give it a little lift.
So once I got started with that little jar I just couldn't stop! haha.
Want to see some another design?
How about a ship in a bottle! I got this idea from my good Demo friend Carolyn.
The jar is stamped on acetate with white staz on and cut out with a matching framelit. I have used the ship from the Open Sea Stamp Set. The stand for the bottle is ha…

Versatile Vintage Verses - Saleabration Time.

Happy Australia Day! Unfortunately the usual bright sunny weather we have on Australia Day is wet and miserable thanks to the Cyclone hanging around. Oh well. We can still sing Australian's All Let Us Rejoice
For we are young and free. With golden shores and wealth for toil Our home is girt by sea (and lots of rain at the moment!!) hehe. ... ADVANCE AUSTRALIA FAIR!

Anyway back to a card....

One of the stamp sets in Saleabration is called Vintage Verses. Here I have used "There's Only One You".
I have teamed it with the Saleabration Vine Street Embossing Folder.
I used my Perfectly Preserved Stamp Set and Framelits for the apples and the Orchard Harvest Designer Paper behind them. Anchoring them together with a nice brushed bronze button from the Holiday Mini (these are only available until 31st January by the way)
Here is the card completed.

Then I decided to play with this stamp in a different way using the telephone box stamp image fr…

Saleabration Starts!!

With the start of Saleabration I thought you might like to see some of the products available.
This is the Workshop card we made at my last Workshop.
I have used several Saleabration items. You can get these items for  free with the purchase of $100 worth of product.  Come and have a look...

There is the Designer Paper called Sycamore Street.

Or  an Embossing Folder called Vine Street..
The Just Because is part of the Vintage Verses Stamp Set that is also part of the Saleabration Brochure.

And another Saleabration card using the Sycamore Street Designer Paper again. This time as pennants. Plus some stamps from the Feeling Sentimental Stamp Set available.
Can you see the orange pearls? Yes I have been busy again with my Sharpie Pens and Stampin Up Pearls!
Love the fact that I can just buy the Stampin Up Pearls and Diamantes (which are such great quality and choice of sizes) and just colour them whatever colour I may need. Perfect!

Drop in again soon and I will show you some more Sale…

An Apple a Day...

At a recent workshop my hostess was a teacher. I couldn't resist giving her an "apple for the teacher". hehe.
Stampin Up Style that is...
And what do you think I put inside this cute little apple box???
These cute little Just for You jar cards.
Here's one close up.
I drew the apple and leaves myself and made up a box to fit 8 little jar gift cards. The designer paper is from the Holiday Mini - Festival of Prints - p.20.
The stalk is the centre of a Modern Label Punch piece.
I added a seam binding bow and a brushed bronze button with a little bit of expresso bakers twine for good measure.
Here is a back view.
And that wasn't all!!
I made a pack of the jar gift cards as a prize giveaway.
Then while I was playing with my little jar from the Perfectly Preserved Bundle (in the Holiday Mini).
I decorated this jar for the hostess as well.

And filled it with yummy fruit jellies. It would have been chocolate but it was something like 35 degrees that day! Phew! Lucky we ha…

For Mum

My dear old Mum isn't into creative crafty pursuits at all.  So, I was very surprised that for Christmas she must have ventured into the craft aisle at Woolies. I got some handmade paper and some sticker embellishments from her. Not my usual go to products. But I felt I needed to use them. So I have sat down and created eight cards which I am going to give to her to use as she can't always get out to the shops so much anymore. I hope she likes them.

I tried to keep them fairly simple and used some punches and extra stickers to finish off the cards with.
I think she will like the owl cards the best as she always like funny cards.

And while these are non-SU cards the best thing is I have reduced some of my ever growing stash by making them (not that you would really notice! LOL! But hey, you have to start somewhere, right?)
Hope you can all make some headway into your stash this year too. Maybe a set of simple cards for a family member or friend as a gift? Like I have done…

Which card?

Well I have still been pursuing those butterflies!
This time I came up with a collage card. Come and have a look.
I masked off the white card front so the En Francais Stamp would only print in the centre.
Then I added the watch and abstract prints from Clockworks p.105 and the flower from Blooming with Kindness. I used the butterfly image from Papillon Potpourri p. 115 which then goes perfectly with the Elegant Butterfly Punch for my red butterfly.
I really liked this card but thought maybe I should try it in softer colours.
So this is what I did next.
This time I added a bit more to the card with some punched borders .
I also added some more layers to the butterfly.
This is pink pirouette, regal rose and pretty in pink.
So my dilemma is which card I like the best? Which do you prefer?

Until next time. Happy Stamping.

More White Butterflies.

Here are some more of those pretty white on white butterflies. With just a hint of colour this time. I have used the island indigo cardstock behind them to create a shadow effect.

See the lovely flower swirl? That is from Flowering Flourishes. p. 121 of the Main Catalogue.
These flourishes just cry out to be embellished with diamantes or pearls!
Maybe you will try some white on white butterflies for yourself?
Let me know if you do.
I love hearing from you so please leave a comment.
Happy Stamping.

Brand New Year

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and are looking forward to all the exciting possibilities a brand new year brings with it.
While on my break I have been a little preoccupied with the sweet butterfly punch - Elegant Butterfly - p.184 of the Main Catalogue.
I saw this fab card on Pinterest done by Tracy Cuccia and just had to have a go at making one.
Then of course I had to make two!!

Would you like a closer look at the layers under the white butterfly?
And the tangerine card.

I really like the way the colour is peaking out from behind the white don't you?
And what about my coloured diamantes?

I coloured each of my clear Stampin Up Diamantes with Sharpie Pens to match the cardstock used.
Love it.
A nice clean card for the start of a new year. Come back again soon.

And Remember :
I just love hearing from you so if you have any questions or would like to leave a comment please do.
