Petal Pair Embossing card

Featuring: Petal Pair Embossing Folder, Occasions Catalogue 2018, Sponge Daubers, Colouring, Quick and Easy, Cardsonthetablewithvicki

Well this is a very quick and easy card for you today.
Using Sponge Daubers to colour with.

I have used the floral embossing folder from the Petal Pair Embossing Folder set in the Occasions Catalogue.
Ran it through on Whisper White cardstock.
Then using my sponge daubers I added colour.
Real Red for the flowers and then Lemon Lime Twist for the leaves and background to blend it all together.

The handy greeting set - Vertical Greetings was very useful. p.50 Main catalogue.
on the odd occasion you need a vertical greeting...this set is perfect.

I enjoyed it so much I did it again using Calypso Coral for the flowers.

Hope I have inspired you to try some Sponge Dauber colouring today.
Thanks for stopping by. Vx

Had a few days out at the Farmhouse last week.

Vintage Heartfelt Blooms

Featuring: Heartfelt Blooms, vintage style, Sponge dauber, colouring techniques, watercolour pencils, Stampin Up, cardsonthetablewithvicki

I was pleasantly surprised when I decided to try colouring my Saleabration Heartfelt Blooms stamp.
I admit to feeling a bit lazy and decided I would try doing it with Sponge Daubers. Just literally daubing the colour on...
and guess what?
It worked better than I had hoped!
I just loved the way it turned out and I hope you do too.

I used Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry, Tranquil Tide. I stamped in Night of Navy.
The little dragonflies are from the Detailed Dragonfly thinlets set.
Fresh Florals Designer paper stack paper.

Flushed with my success I decided I would try the more traditional way and use some watercolour pencils.
This time I stamped in Archival Black ink and then added the colour with the watercolour pencils and an aquapainter.  pink, purple, yellow, green

Card stock - Fresh Fig and Sweet Sugarplum

I did use my sponge…

Dragonfly Dreams meets Painted with Love

Featuring: Dragonfly dreams stamp set, Detailed Dragonfly thinlets, Painted with Love designer paper, Special Folds, Technique Cards, Calendar Card, Stampin Up, Cardsonthetablewithvicki

It isn't too late to make calendar cards is it?????
Well it is only February...we do have 10 more months to go so I think it is still acceptable. hehe.

And I just couldn't resist making this with the new Painted with Love specialty designer paper from the Occasions catalogue 2018.
I was inspired to use my Dragonfly Dreams stamp set and thinlets from demonstrator Gail Ellis.
I am really bad at neglecting my stamps when something new appears so it is really good to mix it up using things from all the current catalogues.

The flowers are from the Petal Palette set and the words from Waterfront (both in the Occasions 2018 catalogue.
This little calendar card is just so quick and easy to put together.
have a normal black card base and just added a piece to the bottom.
10.5cm x 8cm. scored at 2, 4…

Island dreaming....

(featuring: Waterfront stamp set, Occasions Catalogue, Colour Theory dsp, Seaside Embossing folder, Stampin Up, Cardsonthetablewithvicki)

I have been having lots and lots of fun with the new Waterfront set.
It is so versatile and every scene you create is different.

I took this photo on a very dull day and had to lighten it so you can't see that the background piece done with the Seaside Embossing Folder is actually Soft Sky not white.
I teamed it up with Tempting Turquoise and Daffodil Delight.

The words wouldn't quite fit where I wanted them on the oval piece as you can see, so I created a little banner with some acetate and stamped on it to make an overlay.

Still on the "yellow obsession" hehe. I have used some Colour Theory designer paper with Bermuda Bay card stock.
 (stamp greeting is non SU)

Happy Birthday is from Vertical Greetings. p.50 of the main catalogue. This is the perfect set for when you need your greetings to stamp vertically not horizontally.
