Happiest of Birthdays!

Image
I just love Birthday Blooms p.9 of the All Occasions Catalogue. It makes such pretty cards and I just love the words and font used.

Here are a couple of Birthday Cards I made for some up coming birthdays.  I used the Love Blossoms dsp p.17 for this first card.
Card base is Blushing Bride.

I still felt there was something missing on the card so I added a paper bow using my Bow BuilderPunch p.167 Main Catalogue.  What do you think?
I also added my Clear Wink of Stella to the Bow to give it some shimmer. You can't see it in the photo sadly. :(

I layered my little flower for a 3D effect and added some diamantes for interest.

The words were stamped in Rose Red and I placed some little Melon Mambo Enamel dots on the top and bottom of the punched circle. (and that tiny little green sprig is from the Saleabration set "Botanicals for You".

Another easy Birthday Blooms card using Blushing Bride for the card base. Some Botanical Gardens designer paper and a pretty paper doily.

Blooming Yellow

Image
Hello Happy Stampers,
I can't wait to show you this card today using Birthday Blooms p.9 and the matching Birthday Bouquet Designer paper.
It is in my favourite "Happy" colour - YELLOW!
Using So Saffron as a base card.

The Birthday Blooms was stamped on our Vellum cardstock in white craft ink and then heat embossed in white embossing powder.
I flipped the picture over and coloured on the opposite side to the stamped image. Using Stampin Write Markers - Garden Green and So Saffron.
I love doing this technique because the colouring doesn't have to be perfect. When you flip the vellum over to the embossed side the colouring looks very neat within the crisp embossed lines.

The For You was stamped in Cucumber Crush.
Now I always have a problem with attaching Vellum to cardstock. There are different ways but you always have to be aware of adhesive showing through the vellum.
This time I came up with a new idea I thought I would try.

1/ I cut a piece of white cardstock …

Botanical Blooms in the tropics.

Image
Hello Happy Stampers!

As promised I have another Botanical Builder/Blooms card to show but this time in another colour way and design. Just loving these Botanical Builder Framelits!

How different does this look compared to the last card? A bit tropical looking do you think? Cool and Summery?
Botanical Blooms p.26&27 All Occasions Catalogue.

This time I used Love Blossoms designer paper, Bermuda Bay, Blushing Bride, Rose Red, Old Olive and Wild Wasabi.

(and yes we do sell Kraft Corrugated Paper on p.148 of the main catalogue.) I don't think a lot of people are aware of this. It is a fun way to add some texture. I love the new Bermuda Bay stitched ribbon p.35 of the All Occasions Catalogue too.  The sentiments are from Saleabration sets.

So pretty. Thanks for stopping by.
Come back soon. Vx

Botanical Blooms

What can I say...Botanical Blooms is Blooming Marvellous!!! LOL! p. 26 and 27 All Occasions Cat.

Goodness I do love this set. Especially the Framelits.

I have a lot of friends who are mad about the colour pink so I make a lot of "pink" cards but there is one friend who is particularly taken with the colour green and likes autumn tones. So this card was for her.

Card base was Mossy Meadow. Botanical Gardens designer paper and Mint Macaroon.

Flowers and leaves were Hello Honey, Cajun Craze, Mint Macaroon, Mossy Meadow and Old Olive.

The Enamel dots are in Crushed Curry and Mint Macaroon and go perfectly.(p.6)
Oh I do love the way these flowers can change the whole theme and feel to the card just by changing the colours you use.

Come back next time and I will show you a gorgeous blue and pink card and you will see what I mean.

Thanks for stopping by. Vx

Birthday Blooms

Hello Stampers! I think it is well past time that I started showing you some of my creations for this year using new products from the All Occasions Catalogue.
And first up I would like to introduce Birthday Blooms to you all.(p.9)
Now I confess when I first saw this in the catalogue I said to myself (quite sternly) "you don't needanother flower stamp!" But you know what...I couldn't go past the lovely font on the words and all the pretty cards I keep seeing on Pinterest etc. So...I gave in. haha. And guess which was the first set I played with when my order arrived! Yep! Birthday Blooms!

I had a Birthday and Farewell Gift to give so whipped up a Birthday Card and Gift Card in no time at all.

Melon Mambo was used for my base card. With Whisper White, Gold Foil and Love Blossoms Designer Paper(p.17)

I watercoloured the flower and leaves using Melon Mambo and Old Olive inkpads and my aquapainter. See the sprinkling of diamantes? That is because I got a tiny smudge of …

Happy Engagement!!!For Real!

Image
Yes folks I have an Engagement Card to show you.
And not just any Engagement Card either...
No this one was made for a very special couple.
My son and his lovely girlfriend just announced their Engagement. Yay Yay Yay!

So the card had to be extra special for them.
I used the lovely Bloomin Heart Thinlit and paper from the Love Blossoms Designer paper stack. All from the All Occasions Catalogue.

Tip Top Taupe was my card base and the birds from the Bird Builder Punch.
I used the Scalloped square from the Square framelits .

Congratulations is from the Sky is the Limit saleabration stamp set and I heat embossed that in black.

Little hearts from the Owl Builder Punch and small heart from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Set.

I loved how this card turned out. I was trying for a cleaner/modern style, not sure if I got there but hey, I didn't add any bling! so that is saying something! haha!

Colours: Tip Top Taupe, Black, White, Red, Crumbcake (on the designer paper), silver.

Ahhhh,Love is in…

hearts and flowers and lots of love

Well well it has been a while hasn't it?!
I hope you have all had a wonderful Christmas and happy New Year. I certainly needed a good break from everything but 2016 has crept up on me and suddenly we are into February already and I haven't blogged since December 2015! Eeek!!!

Next week is Valentine's Day and my lovely MOTH (man of the house) is away in America of all places! So I had to make some cards for him to take.
These were whipped up in super-fast time (like I am talking the day before he was leaving and in one hour!!! hehe.)
I used Pinterest for my inspiration and ideas. Have a look at what I came up with.

The first card is an exact copy of Bronwyn Eastley's card. (Addinktivedesigns.blogspot.com.au).
The word stamps and framelits are retired sets.
I loved this card that looks like messaging on an iphone and just had to make one. I told MOTH to open this card when he reaches his first stop L.A.

Then I made this card for him to open on Valentine's Day. Just …
