Golden moments

Hello everyone. I have been having fun with the Butterfly Basics Stamp set and matching Butterflies Thinlits Die, p,26 All Occasions Catalogue.

Oh my Goodness!! I honestly didn't think they would be this easy to work with. So many ideas! I have 9 - yes NINE - butterfly cards on my table right now and so many ideas for more.

I wanted to show you this quick Birthday Card I made using a piece from the Adventure Bound Designer Series Paper Stack p. 40 of the All Occasions Catalogue. This is a great buy at AUS$11.95.

I cut a butterfly using some Gold Foil Card sheet - yes we do still sell this - p. 193 of our main catalogue if you are looking for it.

And stamped some ferns and a Happy Birthday from the Butterfly Basics Stamp set, with Mossy Meadow ink and got to thinking about all those little bits of gold foil that had been punched out from the butterfly wings.
So I had a little play with them and made these.

Some gold flowers!

I added my favourite gold metallic bakers twine and a lit…

Feeling in a "Blue" Mood.

Hello Again,
I was in a "Blue" frame of mind recently when I designed this card and just love the colour mix.

I used Tempting Turquoise, Bermuda Bay and Night of Navy. Each piece of cardstock was embossed with the Lovely Lace Embossing Folder. I placed them on a Pacific Point Card Base.

This card was actually made because I had these three strips of Stacked With Love Designer Paper lying on my desk and a few of the Petite Petals flowers. Before I knew it they were becoming a card! haha. Does that happen to you??

I stamped a flower from Flower Shop Stamp Set in the three colours and added some pearls and glitter to the centres.

I really like Blue and Green as a colour combo. Even though the old rhyme goes " Blue and Green should never be Seen!" I think itshould!

Talking of Blue Cards. I made a lovely one for a friend of mine recently but didn't show it on here because when I took the photo I hadn't realised there was a piece of bakers twine stuck on the fro…

Happy Hearts

Hello Happy Stampers!
Did you have a nice Valentine's Day? I got some roses and a lovely card. I did wonder where my husband got his red paper from to cut out all those hearts, that he decorated the table with?
Took me about 15 minutes to notice my red paper napkins next to flowers! LOL! Very "crafty"!

Speaking of hearts, I have purchased the Embossing Folder called Happy Hearts from the All Occasions Catalogue p.9.
I thought it would look pretty done with the Brushed Silver Card stock.

I used a real red card base for this card.
Some Stacked with Love Paper Stack Designer paper.p.5 -( two different designs)
Stamps from Hello Life. p.6 stamped in real red ink.
( and I added the "You" from another stamp set I had) I might add that this is really easy to do if you are using Photopolymer stamps.

See how beautifully embossed and deeply etched the hearts come out on this embossing folder.
Just lovely. And I punched some little hearts from the

in red to put inside a f…

Valentine's Day -share the love.

Valentine's Day this Saturday and I am so organised! No last minute throw together card for me!
No. This year I had lots of inspiration from the new All Occasions Catalogue and fun products to play with.

So here is my card. The thing with cards for men is that you can't go over board with too much in the way of embellishments and sparkle etc., right? So I had to keep that to a minimum. Sigh.
  What do you think?

I used Smoky Slate for my card base and layered a piece of designer paper from the Stacked with Love Paper Stack p.5 and some black card stock. It is hard to see but there is a sliver of Brushed Silver card stock between the two.

The greeting is from the Good Greetings Stamp set.
I used stamps from the Hello Life Stamp Set p.6 to make the balloon strings.
These were stamped in versa mark and then heat embossed with smoky slate embossing powder.
(we do sell a nice selection of coloured embossing powders - check them out on p.213 of the main catalogue!)

Love wrapped in Kindness.

Well here I am again with another card using Love is Kindness from the All Occasions Catalogue.

This card was made for a special friend going into hospital.

She loves pink so I made it using Blushing Bride Card stock.

I stamped the card stock with the Dictionary Background Stamp in Brown Sugar.

I stamped the Love is Kindness image in Brown Sugar Ink and coloured with Blushing Bride and Old Olive Markers.

After I cut out the image I added a bow and placed it onto some designer paper from the Stacked with Love Paper Stack.

I decided to use Crystal Effects sprinkled with Dazzling Diamonds on the Flowers. The Brown Sugar Ink did run slightly but I don't think it takes away from the card at all.

I am going to leave you with a photo of my first roses from my new rose bush. The bush has been in the garden for a few months now so I was very excited to get two blooms. Aren't they a pretty mauve colour.

And if you haven't noticed yet? LOL! I just love the Stacked with Love Designer…
