As promised I have made a quick tutorial for you on making your own peppermint candies.
Here are the various size punches I have used. Circle Punches: 1 inch; 3/4 inch; itty bitty circle punch plus I used a heart from the Heart to Heart Punch.

There are two options for heat embossing these little candies from the Sweets for the Sweet Stamp Set. |

Option 1: First stamp Peppermint Swirl with ClearVersamark Ink then place stamp immediately into Cherry Cobbler Ink. (the Versamark will keep the cherry cobbler dye ink "wet" long enough to be able to hold the clear embossing powder. ) Stamp onto white card and heat emboss with Clear Embossing Powder. |
|
This will give you a nice shiny peppermint. |

Option 2: Stamp Peppermint Swirl into Clear Versamark Ink then cover with Cherry Cobbler Embossing Powder and set with a Heat gun. | |
Another shiny peppermint swirl candy. (Whoops!! should have used my
Embossing Buddy first before stamping!!!)
Finally to get the thicker embellishment - more like chipboard in thickness just punch out extra pieces of cardstock 2 or 3 extra and layer them under your candy.
Now what else to do with all these peppermint swirl candies on the table???!!!!
Thanks for the tutorial. I have thought about that stamp set but don't have it. Never got around to ordering it yet.
