"In the Jungle. The mighty Jungle. The Lion Sleeps tonight..."
That song just keeps popping into my head whenever I stamp with this lovely lion stamp from Zoo Review.
This is a fairly easy sponged background onto Glossy White Cardstock.
How about I share the Tutorial with you.

You will need: Zoo Review Stamp Set - Lion Stamp
                       Black Staz On
Piece of Glossy White Cardstock (mine is 5.5cm x 12cm)
(an extra stamp of the lion cut out (just lion not grass) this is for a mask)
a sponge for sponging each colour (6)
a large punched circle for moon mask
These are the colours I used in order:
Night of Navy
Not Quite Navy
More Mustard
Calypso Coral
Cajun Craze
Red Riding Hood
Step 1: Place your mask over the lion. (make sure you have cut as close as possible around the outline of the lion) Tear a piece of scrap paper to make outlines of hills in background.
Step 2:
Place scrap paper on the top half of your glossy card to form hills outline on lower half. Sponge Night of Navy ink on exposed gloss card.
Step 3.
Raise your scrap paper up slightly to expose some more white as shown and then sponge Not Quite Navy starting from here and all over the bottom half of gloss card.
Step 4.
Remove scrap paper and place your moon mask on top right as shown coming down into the hills.
Step 5.
Now sponge over top half with More Mustard.
Step 6.
Sponge again with Calypso Coral and then Cajun Craze on top of that.
Try to concentrate the sponging on the top of the gloss card to allow a slightly lighter area between the hills and the sky.
Step 7.
Finish you sky with Red Riding Hood to give a deep terracotta look.
Step 8.
Remove you two masks and sponge the lion and the moon with More Mustard.
Step 9.
Finished. Now just add to your card.
Come back to the table next time for some more wild African Safari fun with Zoo Review. I have a neat Zebra stripes background to show you too.
