Happy 18th!

Well I am cutting things fine today. I have wanted to make this card for several days but never got around to it until this afternoon. With only hours left to join in the Paper Players Challenge for this week! Eek!

The challenge this week were to use the colours Marina Mist, Crushed Curry and Smoky Slate.
This was perfect for a boy's 18th card (or maybe I should be saying young man?) that I need next month. I even took the picture literally and went with a "film" theme!

I have had fun with the On Film Framelits set again to make the film frames and the two arrows at the bottom. I also used the new tag topper punch from the All Occasions Catalogue as well.
The 18 is a wooden number that I glittered up with gold glitter.

I just received the Happy Watercolour Stamp set from the All Occasions Catalogue too and thought the "dotty" stamp would look interesting stamped in Smoky Slate on the edges of the white and Smoky Slate card stock.
The little yellow square confetti comes from the cut out pieces of the Film Framelit. I saw this on Julia Quinn's blog - handmade by Julia Quinn, and thought it was a great idea.
The word Happy is from the Happy Watercolour Stamp Set too. I just inked the word with a Smoky Slate Marker and used my Stampamajig to line it up.

For once the card actually looks a lot like I had imagined! LOL! That doesn't happen very often! haha.

Hope you have a great weekend. We are off to a Christening tomorrow. I am very excited and a little nervous. It will be the first big function I have been to since I got ill in December. But I am ready, I have the gift, I've made the card (you will see that next week) and I have a new outfit. What could be better.
Thanks for stopping by and also a big thank you to those who leave comments. I love hearing from you and appreciate the time you spend encouraging me. Vx

  1. Vicki what a fun card! I love that you pulled from the inspiration photo and used photo frames, and then used the leftover bits as confetti. I'm sure the 18 year old will love it! Thanks for joining us this week at The Paper Players!
