Secret Garden beauty.

Well I have to admit this card came together really fast.
I just love the colours chosen for this weeks colour challenge at Just Add Ink.

Pistachio Pudding, Crumbcake and Gold.
I have added a bit of very vanilla as a neutral.

I embossed the centre of the flowers with gold using a versa marker pen.
I coloured the centre with the pen then inked the whole stamp in crumb cake ink. Then popped some gold embossing powder on. It should only stick to the part where the versa mark pen was used.
Then heat set it. You might need to brush away some excess powder. I left some on as I liked the spattering effect across the flower that it made.

PRODUCTS:
Stamps: Secret Garden, Label Love (greeting), Oh Hello (chevron background gold embossed)
Labels Collection framelit
Ovals Collection framelit
Secret Garden framelits
Artisan Label Punch (for greeting)
Burlap ribbon, Gold glitter brads, Gold embossing powder, clear embossing powder
Beautifully Baroque Embossing Folder on the label collection framelit in very vanilla.
Small piece of Sweet Sorbet Salebration dsp tucked under burlap ribbon.

For the greeting I inked the stamp in versa mark ink pad first then straight into the crumbcake ink pad. Then I sprinkled it with clear embossing powder and heat embossed. By clear embossing the crumbcake ink it appears slightly darker.
The leaf is stamped with the Secret Garden stamp in versa mark and then gold embossed.

I hope you will join in the challenge, it doesn't finish for a few days yet. These colours are lovely to work with.

As this is March we only have this month of Saleabration to go. It finishes March 31st so if you see anything you would like please be sure to place an order soon.

A visit to the lake.
All this pretty green, gold and crumb cake reminds me of our visit last Sunday to Dennis Lake. A small lake only about 5 minutes away right near Daisy Hill Forest Park. I suggested we go and feed the ducks there. Something I used to do years ago with the boys sometimes in the school holidays.
Would you like to come too? I'm sure I have enough old bread for everyone.

It was fun trying to spot some of the varieties of birds.

I even managed a few action shots.

Just a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Thank you for your lovely comments, I read them all. Love having you stop by.Vx

  4. This is a beautiful card, Vicki, and I love all the photos of your visit to the lake. We're lucky enough to have a beautiful lake nearby too, although I don't think there are quite as many varieties of birds as at yours. Thanks for sharing your card, and a snippet of your life! Glad you could join in the fun at Just Add Ink this week.
