the number game.

A small note about Number of Years Bundle.
I have to be honest and say that when I first saw Number of Years Stamp set and Large Number Framelits p.10 and 11 of the All Occasions Catalogue - I thought they were a bit pricey for me. But on further reflection of what the word "pricey" means, I concluded that they were actually good value.
A "pricey" item reflects not what you pay for it. But how useful and well used the item is to you.
In this case I decided that a good number set was well worth the price tag for me.

The numbers are large enough to make a great statement alone. So very little extra work needed unless you want to.
A birthday number requires no thinking about a "theme". And numbers work for other occasions as well. Anniversaries, Grades, Teams, Music, etc. etc. endless possibilites.
The stamp set works beautifully with the framelits.
Want some humour added? Use the "Look who's turning"   and "(again)" stamps.
Want to share the love? Use "the number of years the world has been a better place because you're in it" Stamp.

And so after that little spiel I will unveil my latest number creations for you. (Expect to see number cards popping up frequently on my blog!) Just love them!

First off a 21st birthday card for my Pianist nephew.
How easy was this card to make!

The numbers in Silver foil card.
I did use a non SU music note I had and some retired Stampin Up music paper dsp on the inside.
A black card base. I just hand cut the curve. It starts at 7cm up on the right hand side and finishes at 3.5cm on the top of the card.
Then added a strip of gold glimmer card and 10cm x 5cm white cardstock for the keyboard.
I used a ruler and drew some lines 1cm apart.
The black keys were cut from cardstock 0.7cm wide x 3.5cm long. They are raised with dimensionals.
Inside I added some punched balloons using the Balloon Bouquet Punch. The stamped words are non-SU.

I also did an 18th Birthday card for a nieces upcoming birthday.
This card is a very "generic" style and you could use it with various colours and for a lot of different ages as well.

This time I used a thick white cardstock base for my card.
I stamped in Watermelon Wonder, Bermuda Bay and Wisteria Wonder Using the Timeless Textures Stamp set.

It needed a bit more razzle dazzle so I stamped an image from Timeless Textures, in silver ink and heat embossed with silver embossing powder, top and bottom.
I also added cute balloons from the Bouquet Balloon Punch in silver glimmer card with silver cord.

At the bottom I used the Number of Years Stamp set for the words and banner to finish it off.

And here are some random photos I took on the weekend with Rosie down at a local beach area (moreton bay). It was a perfect sunny day for a picnic lunch and walk. Lots of sailboats out on the water.

Until next time. Thanks for stopping by. Vx
