Spongebob Father's Day

Hello Happy Stampers!
It is Father's Day this Sunday in Australia.
I wanted a funny, quirky card for my husband for Father's Day, so I turned to Punch Art.

Spongebob was a favourite of our family and there is a new movie coming out so I thought why not? There was some good ideas on Pinterest to help me.

First I made my Spongebob.
There is some nice paper in the Designer Paper Lullaby set that reminds me of bubbles. So I placed my Spongebob on that. The paper was then attached to my Baked Brown Sugar Card Base.

I wanted to make a Shaker Card with Spongebob being surrounded by bubbles, so I used On Film Framelits to cut out a Frame in Coastal Cabana. Then I placed a piece of window Sheet behind it and raised it up with dimensionals joined together.
I placed this on top of my Spongebob figure and put some coloured sequins inside.

That is when Disaster Struck! Da Da DUMMMM..!!
Yep! Whole box of sequins that had been nicely sorted into various sizes and shapes were now piled together on the floor!!! EEK!
Guess what! They aren't sorted anymore! haha! Just all jumbled in together the best way I could.

So once that was cleaned up (fairly well).
I added a Happy Father's Day greeting from Teeny Tiny Sentiments and a Spongebob Quote from Google.
Spongebob: Quick Patrick, without thinking: If you could have anything right now what would it be?
Patrick: Ummm.. More time for thinking.

I also added a couple of sequins with glue dots to draw your eye down to the words.

I then decided the card needed just one more thing. A Word Bubble using the Just Sayin stamp set and Word Bubble Framelits.

Then my card was complete.

And finally a photo of Rosie sunning herself on the lounge. She is 5 months old now.

Have a lovely weekend.
And if you pop back next week I will have another style of Shaker Card to show you.
