Lost in Blue.

"Lost Lagoon" - isn't that a lovely name for this new blue in colour.
It conjures up a tropical paradise in my mind or a field of blue flowers perhaps.
(Neither of which is happening in our backyard at the moment by the way!! All we have is dead grass and dirt patches! - But the rain is supposed to be on it's way.)

I made a little Hello card to give to a friend recently and just had to use this lovely new blue especially with some Daffodil Delight . What a great combination.

I used some lovely All Abloom paper stack DSP p.185 for the background. I also cut a piece out with the Banner Framelits and layered a white scalloped Tag using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch p.221 on top. Then another banner in the centre of the tag to centre my flowers.

The flowers are from the Hostess Set Bloom With Hope p.240.
I stamped them in black ink and used black embossing powder. Then I coloured them with a blender pen and the Lost Lagoon Ink pad and a Daffodil Delight marker in the centre.
Finished them off with a pearl or two.

The "Hello" is from the Honeycomb Hello Stamp Set p.134.

Across the card I tied a knot in a piece of Daffodil Delight Seam Binding p.207 and some of the new
Venetian Crochet Trim p.206.
Isn't the little punched flower cute! I love it. It is from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack p.222 and a set I will use a lot.

Sorry the photos are a bit dark. Very overcast today. Maybe it is that rain I said was coming?

While I am here thought I would post a few photos from the break away in Maleny.

Until next time.
Happy stamping! Vx

  1. Sigh, Maleny is such a beautiful place. Nice to think of you having a break there. Now the combination you used in your card is so nice. I like the Lost Lagoon with Daffodil Delight. That's a cute way to use the accent punched shape and the layered tag adds so much. Very lovely!
