Hexagon Hive - That's Gold.

Well, I am back from a wonderful week away up into the mountains and then back into the city for the weekend. What a jet-setter! I might even have a photo or two to share later in the week but for now... I have a card.

I have a thing about the I Love Lace Background Stamp. I really do love it. And guess what... the new Gold Soiree Dsp p.184 also has some printed in Gold as a background! Cool!
So I got busy and had a play.
It was a bit hard to photograph this, as the gold paper is very shiny and kept reflecting on the flash from the camera.

I actually had a Hexagon Hive thin lit piece cut out already in Whisper White so I just decided to stamp straight on top of that with my I Love Lace Background Stamp in Strawberry Slush.
I used the Flower Patch Greeting (again! - Yes it is a favourite!LOL!) Expect to see it a lot too.

And added some flowers stamped in Strawberry Slush from the Flower Shop Stamp Set and Petite Petals Stamp Set and matching punches. The diamantes in the centres were coloured with a yellow Daffodil Delight Blender Pen. Leaves are in Mossy Meadow from the Bird Builder Punch.

Here is another photo from a slightly different angle to try and reduce some of the glare for you.

And there you have it - a lovely birthday card for my SIL.
I know what you are thinking to yourself. "Will this woman ever use anything but the I Love Lace Background Stamp, Those flowers and Greeting!!! (groan)"  LOL!
And Yes I will! The next card will definitely not have any of these products on it. I will use something entirely different. er...maybe???
See you again soon. Vx

  1. Lol! Each card you make is so different, I don't mind you using the same stamp sets :) The I Love Lace stamp is gorgeous, as is the Gold Soiree DSP. Bet your SIL loved her card. Very pretty indeed.
