It all started with a tie...

Happy Fathers Day for this Sunday. Have you got a little something for the men in your life? Or perhaps you don't need a Fathers Day Card but a nice male card would be handy to have in your stash.
Well have I got a deal for you... a card and matching gift bag.
It all started with the tie. I have done these on cards before. But this time I decided to make a little gift bag and attach the tie to that.
How do you think that looks? A nice stripey shirt and patterned tie. The little bag is made on the principle of the 2,4,6,8 bags. But my measurements are 30cm x 14cm. I scored at 7cm,14cm,21cm, 28 cm and then turned the designer paper and scored at 4cm. Cut up the 7,14,21,28cm score lines to the 4cm score line.
Make up the box shape and press in on two sides as above.

So then I had some designer paper left over and really wanted to use it to make a matching card. I was inspired to make a Joyfold card.
And I just had to have a little owl wearing the same matching shirt and tie on the card too! hehe.

The card and matching gift bag used one piece of designer paper. A great way to use up some of the ever increasing paper stash.
I just loved using the stars from Simply Stars p.123 of the catalogue. (and if you happen to still have the big and little star punches from a few years back - they work well with them! yay!)

But of course as I said before, not everyone needs a Fathers Day Card so I made a Birthday one too.
Now what do you think is in that little bag???
Chewy caramels and a Mitre10 Gift Card. What every man needs I would say. LOL.
Thanks for stopping by.
Come back again soon. Vx
