The Sound of the Sea and a special visitor!

August is traditionally Male Month for my class Ladies. Where we create a few cards ready to give to the men in our lives.  I saw a very similar card to the one below on pinterest and just had to have a go at making one for the class. They loved it and so did I.
What do you think?
We sponged the top half of our card with Tempting Turquoise ink and used a half scallop circle as a cloud template. Then we brayered the bottom half with Pacific Point Ink.
The seagull is from the bird builder punch and the wooden posts are embossed with the wood embossing folder and inked in Early Expresso ink. The words at the top are non-SU.
Here is a closeup of our seagull.

Just to make things more exciting, we had a very special little visitor to our humble card class last week, too.
None other than Prince George Alexander himself!!! Would you like to see the little Crown Prince????
I hope you have been practicing your curtsies?

Here he is. Hehe.
Isn't he the sweetest little miniature dachshund you've ever seen. So cute and well behaved too.
So of course I had to make a special welcome card for him.

This cute little fellow is all made with punches. Mainly the word window punch and the small scallop oval punch.

We are off to New Zealand for a short visit so I might be a little bit late posting next week but be sure to pop in as I will have plenty of photos to share when I return.
Thanks for stopping by.

  1. Love, love, love your first card Vicki. Always great to have some male cards on hand. I need to make a special one next month and with my recent form could take me many attempts to get one just right that I'm happy enough to post.

  3. What a great male card. I love the seagull idea with the bird punch! And the Crown Prince is so cute! He looks so soft and cuddly :) Love your punch art of him. Travel safely and enjoy your trip. Was kind of hoping I'd spot you at MDS Regionals tomorrow but maybe another time.
