A Purrrrfect Housewarming.
I have been playing with the Natural Composition Specialty Designer Paper. p.150 of the new catalogue.
This designer paper has a cardstock thickness so you can use it for cards and boxes as well.
Last Saturday's workshop was also a Housewarming Party so I decided to make a Housewarming Card for my Hostess with the Natural Composition dsp.
She has two much loved cats and I wanted to incorporate them somehow into my card.
Come and see what I came up with...
I used the Woodgrain pattern for the card front.

I have used Daffodil Yellow, Tempting Turquoise , Whisper White and Naturals Composition dsp for the cardstock. I think the Daffodil Yellow and Tempting Turquoise are cheery colours don't you?

Half a doily folded in half again and sponged with Tempting Turquoise Ink became a lacy curtain in the window. The little cat is made with two small circles - 1/2" and 3/4". Cut two small triangles for ears and a thin strip slightly curved for the tail.
For her gift I made this Fancy Favour Box again using the Natural Composition dsp.
A Daffodil Yellow Blossom Punch Flower and Pool Party Embossed Vellum Swallowtail butterfly decorated the front.
Here they are together. Don't they look good?

I'm not a cat person at all, but that black cat peaking through the window is so cute. Well done on your Hostess Projects, Vicki. She was sure to love them.

Yes, it immediately made me smile and I am sure your friend will too! What a cute card and gift idea. I'm thinking, 'why haven't I made any punch art cats?' now. Lol! Enjoy your day.
ReplyDeleteAgh! Thank you for pointing out the two slip-ups on my blog post today! I would never have seen them! Lol!
