Faux Pearl Easel Card

Last week I CASED this really cool Christmas Card from my friend Carolyn. It used the Faux Pearl Technique using Champagne Shimmer Paint.  So simple but effective.
Stamp your image in black staz on. Colour. Then dab over with shimmer paint on a piece of scrunched up plastic food wrap. (You can use regular white cardstock or glossy white card for this technique)
Once paint is dry you can brayer over it with the crumbcake ink. Instant "Vintage". Wonderful!
Here is a close up to see some of the different embossing folders I used plus the cute ribbon I attached with a glimmer brad. I have used Lacy Brocade and the Lattice Embossing Folders.

Hope to see you back at my table real soon.

Speaking of my Craft Table. Last night my youngest son who is a budding film director requested the use of our house to film a horror film.
My craft room went from this ...
To this... (yes I know ... it may be an improvement! LOL!)

The entire house received a spooky makeover.
Who knew I had so many sheets spare either! hehe.
I won't show you anything too gruesome but a few less scary shots of the actors.
(ACTION!)
(can you pick the murderer? hmmm...?)
(even SWAT was on there!)
And yes - surprisingly - the house was put back and all the sheets were folded neatly and put away in the Linen Cupboard afterwards! LOL!

  1. Love your version of the card Vicki. Was it fun to witness a murder on a real life movie set?
