Forevery Fern Sympathy

Forever Fern stamp set, Sympathy card, Inspired Thoughts stamp set, Stampin UP 2021

HAPPY WEDNESDAY WONDERS!!!!

I must confess that Sympathy cards are the hardest cards for me to make. Nothing I do feels just perfect for the recipient. My heart goes out to them but the card never seems to 'match' how I feel for them during such a sad time.

Having said this...I came across this card design on Pinterest by Colleen Vanhoff . Using Forever Fern Stamp Set. 

I took her idea of stamping on the edge and corners and then using versamark clear embossing ink to stamp leaves over top and then heat emboss in white embossing powder.

A bit of sponging with the new Blending brushes page 129 Annual Catalogue, finished it nicely.

The Inspired Thoughts page 52 Annual Catalogue are such lovely words to use.

Card Base : Soft Succulent

Inks: Evening Evergreen, Pale Papaya, Shaded Spruce

Card Base: Rich Razzleberry

Ink colours: Shaded Spruce, Rich Razzleberry, Blackberry Bliss

The two butterflies (retired) were stamped in versamark on vellum and then heat embossed with white embossing powder. Any small butterflies would work.
