Ho Ho Stars!

As promised I have my favourite Star Card to show you today.
This one is just a little different from the rest and I am sure you will see why.
Come and take a look.

This is a Santa Star Easel Card. The Santa stands up like this.
And then the whole card opens up as well. Ta Da!!

The Santa wasn't too hard to make. Just fold a piece of Real Red Cardstock in half and cut out the star shape with your Star framelit just over the edge of the fold (so the star stays together).
The bottom star glues directly to your card and the top star is folded in half to stand up.
Here is a side and view.
Stick you Santa Star onto the front half of your star. I did add a small piece inside to reinforce the fold.

I embossed the white star with the Lucky Stars Embossing Folder. The Santa hat is actually a section of star framelit just cut out in Real Red with the Word Window Punch for the trim and the eyebrows and pom pom are from the itty bitty punch set that is retired (but you could use a small circle punch)
Calypso Coral card stock for his face and nose. Sponged in real red ink.
I used the Mustache Framelit for his mustache!

I needed something quite substantial to hold the star in place when it is standing up. So I coloured some wooden buttons with the Stampin Up Blendabilities in Cherry Cobbler.
The greeting is from  .

Overall I was really happy with this Star Santa Easel Card! (Except for the long name!!haha.)
I think he would be cute as a gift tag too. Might need to make a few of these.

Ho Ho Ho. See you next time. Vx

  2. Of you are clever :) This is such a cute card and so effective. You could leave it on display for the entire Christmas period and even get it out again the following year! It's like a gift of a decoration AND a card.
