Celebrate in Clean and Simple

Hello everyone,
Well I think I cracked it!!!
Yep. This time I really feel I have made a Clean and Simple Card for Simply Less is More Card Challenge. Phew.

The Challenge is to interpret the word "round".
The theme for your cards this week is
ROUND and ROUND

I am also entering this into the Just Add Ink Challenge.

What do you think?

When I saw the word "Round" I immediately thought "balloons" and reached for my Sketched Birthday Stamp Set.
I have to tell you - this is such a useful stamp set to own. I use the balloons and party hat, cake and words quite often.

I wanted the balloons flying off the centre piece of card so I stamped them on the edges then onto coordinating card stock and cut out the balloon and stuck it on.

How did I manage to colour the circles on the balloons? Those circles have shading on them so it is a challenge. But what I did was colour over them with my White Chalk Marker first. Let that dry and then coloured them with my markers - Pacific Point, Calypso Coral and Smoky Slate. I think it worked quite well.

Products:
Cardstock: Pacific Point, Calypso Coral, Smoky Slate, Whisper White
Ink: Black
Markers: White Chalk Marker, Pacific Point, Smoky Slate, Calypso Coral (these are used on the balloons spots and the greeting)
Candy Dots: Pacific Point

I have to say that Clean and Simple doesn't really equate to "Quick and Easy" for me and this took a while to pull together. haha. But I did it! Yay. and when I showed it to my 24 year old son he absolutely loved it. Which was definitely encouraging.

Thanks for popping in. If you have some time maybe you can join in one or both of these challenges too? There is still time. Have a great day and I will be back real soon.

Our weather at the moment is really topsy-turvy - one minute blue skies and hot sun - next raining and cold. At least the rain has brought some green grass back to our lawn.
