Flowershop birthday and a walk.

Last Tuesday I had to make a special birthday card for my son's lovely girlfriend.
It is a lot of pressure to make a young, trendy, hip card let me tell you but I think I managed.
Cardstock: Crumbcake, Soft Sky, Whisper White, Brown Sugar.
Ink: Whisper White Craft Ink, Crumbcake, Brown Sugar.
Flowershop Stamp set and pansy punch.
I embossed the Brown Sugar and Soft Sky flowers with white embossing powder as well as the grid stamp from Summer Silhouettes that I stamped across the Soft Sky piece of cardstock.
I used the Fancy Fan Embossing Folder on the right hand side of the card.

I also used some burlap ribbon that I frayed at the bottom and the smallest Delicate Doilies Sizzlit in crumbcake.

And seeing as the card was a 14cx 14cm card I needed a matching envelope. So I whipped out my brand new Envelope Maker and had one made in minutes!! Love it!!
A piece of designer paper from Epic Day This and That and it was a perfect match for my card.
The best bit...I didn't even like that piece of designer paper but I love it as an envelope! hehe.

Giraween National Park Walk in the Granite Belt 20 minutes from Stanthorpe.
 Map showing location of Park

Girraween National Park is famous for its granite landscape, eucalypt forests, sedgelands and heathlands. These varied environments are home to a wealth of plants and animals - some of which are unique to the area.
Girraween is an Aboriginal word which means "place of flowers" - an appropriate name for this park. Now I hope you remembered your water bottle as it can get a bit hot out here walking. So lets go to the Granite Arch.

Whoa! A mother Kangaroo and her joey getting in a late afternoon snack and we haven't even left the picnic area.
Up over the rise let's hope we don't have to climb that mountain.
Have you seen the beautiful wildflowers yet?

Coming out to a big granite stone area.

I bet you can't even spot me?

Here I am. Do you know what I am looking at? There is actually a large crevice between where I am standing and the rock in front of me and I could here something making bubbling noises from the water in between. Wonder what is was???

Finally the Granite Arch.
I need a sit down for a minute.

Clem will hold up the boulders so we can rest. Nice of him.
Now it is time to head back.
And look Mum and joey are still here grazing with a few more of their friends.
Thanks for coming on the walk with me.
Let's go to the Underground Creek next time.

Until then. Happy Stamping! Vx
