Elves How To
As promised here is a quick tutorial on how I made these Elves.
I will work in sections for you.
First Section:- The Head
You will need:
1 ornament punch in pink pirouette (head)
2 bird builder wings punched in pink pirouette (ears)
1 Itty Bitty circle Punch in pink pirouette (nose)
Note: I have sponged around these with regal rose ink
1 modern label punch in whisper white (hat band)
2 x 1/2 inch circle punch whisper white (eyes)
2 x smallest circle in owl builder punch in black (eyes)
1x 1 3/8 inch square punch (hat) (note: piece cut off)
Now put face together. Here is a front view
And here is what the back looks like.
Next we will do the body.
You will need:
1 piece of ribbon approx. 11cm or 4.5 inches long.
1 tab punch (retired) in real red.(substitute with Decorative Label Punch)
1 tab punch half in real red and half in gumball green
3 x Itty Bitty Shapes flower Punch in white
2 x Itty Bitty Shapes flower Punch in black
1 x 1 inch square (cut in half - only need half) in real red
1 x postage stamp punch in whisper white.
Here is a visual of how these are all put together:-
The ribbon is between the real red tab punch and the green half tab punch.
At this point you can add the head. Then the legs filled with lollies.
After this you can add the top part over his legs and then bring the ribbon arms around to front and stick down at waist (I used glue dots). Pop little black flower mittens on top.
Nearly done now...Time for his shoes.
You will need:- 2 full hearts with a bit cut out of them. (I put them back into one corner of the heart and punched out a curve.) in gumball green.
Turn one boot around so they are opposite one another.
Here I have punch the large oval first in whisper white card. Then used the negative and punched around it again with the scallop oval punch to give me this frill. The whole piece can do several boots.
Next add an Itty Bitty flower punch to each boot and attach diamante in centre.
Attach boots to end of your lolly bags.
And he is all finished.
