Paper Garden Project
Featuring: Poppy Moments dies, In the Tropics Dies, Daisy Punches, Heart and Home designer paper, circle punches, 3D project, wall hanging, Stampin Up
HAPPY WEDNESDAY WONDERS!!
Today I have a 3D project for you. With a photo tutorial of what I used to make the lady beetles and bees.
This beautiful papercraft garden filled with flowers and happy beetles and bugs, could also be recreated on a smaller scale as a card.
You can use whatever you may have in your own craft supplies to create your own papergarden wonderland.
The beetlebugs are made mostly with simple circle punches and/or dies.
For my wall hanging I used:
The Heart and Home designer paper 13.5cm x 13.5cm and layered with Night of Navy, White and Black.
The finished piece is 18cm x 18cm (black background)
I used a piece of wooden dowel beading from the hardware store. Cut it to 22cm and painted it black with black acrylic paint. I added a black piece of ribbon to hang it.
Wooden dowel beading is rounded on one side and flat on the other so you can glue the wood (unpainted flat side) directly to the cardstock. Make sure your glue is strong enough. Stampin Up Multipurpose white glue is ideal (p.167 main catalogue)
The garden is a mixture of different sets, In the Tropics dies, Poppy Moments dies and daisy punches.
Colours used: black, Old Olive, white, Pumpkin Pie, Mango Medley, Pale Papaya.
Below I have the punches used for each beetlebug as shown in photos, for your reference.
Bee: Daffodil Delight, Black and vellum (black mini dimensials under wings (appear as four dots)
Small bug : Pumpkin Pie, black
Ladybeetle: Real Red, Black
Orange ladybeetle: black, Calypso Coral
HOW I MADE THE ANTENNAS:
Hope you enjoyed this tutorial and maybe have a go at making your own paper garden, filled with ladybeetles and bees.
