Double Fan Fold Poinsettia card

Featuring:  Christmas, Double Fan Fold, special fold, Snowflake Splendour dsp, Poinsettia dies, Poinsettia Petals stamp, Stampin'UP!

HAPPY WEDNESDAY WONDERS!

and have I got a pretty card for you all today!
I saw this card design on a post by Lavonne Schwendeman (Stampin Up demo)
and had to make one myself. I tweaked the dimensions and used the Snowflake Splendour designer paper with beautiful soft blues, greens and purples,  on a Balmy Blue Cardstock base.

To keep the softness I made my poinsettia in whisper white with some glimmer card holly leaves and the new balmy blue glimmer card for the berries. Don't you just love the pearl centre!! These are not cheap- but - My Oh My - worth the money. The take your card to 'the next level'.
Some soft spotted polka dot tulle ribbon and silver cord added some more interest to the front of the card.
I also ran a light Balmy Blue marker along all the edges of the designer paper to highlight all the folds.

The card folded down fits into a standard envelope.
The card base is 15cm x 21cm.
Each panel is 7cm.

Score at 3.5 cm, 7cm, 14cm, 17.5cm.
Then score diagonally as shown below on the two end pieces.
Intersecting your diagonals on the 3.5cm and 17.5cm score lines.

The designer paper on the two outside pieces I cut at 14cm x 6cm. Draw pencil lines in the same design as the folds. Then cut up. I flipped some of the designer paper to show the pattern on the other side to create focal points.

The centre background is Whisper White 14cm x 6.5cm and designer paper 13.5cm x 6cm.
Hope you love this as much as I do. Why not give it a try. It is not as difficult as it looks.

Have a great week. Vx
We have just got back from a two week trip up north. Lots of adventures but one of the highlights for me was at Cape Hillsborough(just out from Mackay) where the Wallabies come down to the beach every morning at Sunrise.
It was such an amazing experience and loved every moment even though getting up before the sun is not my favourite thing to do...this was sooo worth it! lol. (and then I went back to the unit and had a nap for a couple of hours!)

There is a park ranger in attendance to make sure no one touches or bothers the wallabies, but they move freely around and are obviously used to all the attention. We have an area marked out where you stand. See how close these two were to Clem. There were about 20-30 people down on the beach the morning we were there.
