N.B. PLEASE BEAR WITH ME WHILE I AM EXPERIMENTING WITH NEW BLOG DESIGNS.
This post should be titled Card In the Box - Revisited.
The other day someone asked me for the Card In the Box measurements and you know what...while I know them off by heart...I couldn't find anywhere on my blog where I had actually given them.
Oh NO!!
So I thought I would show you my latest Card In The Box creation, even though it is mostly done with Retired Stampin Up Products.
There is some current SU in there:-
Cardstock: Melon Mambo, Basic Black, Whisper White and Silver Glitter Card and Silver Foil Card.
Number of Years Framelits
Balloon Builder Punch
Happy Birthday Gorgeous Stamp Set
Bold Butterfly Framelits
The flowers are Retired Stamp Set Flowershop and Pansy Punch. Retired Star punches and Retired Designer Paper.
The beauty of the Card in the Box card is the fact that it folds flat for mailing.
I love the 3D effect of your images popping out inside the box. You can use Acetate cut in a thin strip to attach some of you elements and have them appear to be "floating"in our scene. Like my balloons and butterfly below.
And it is all achieved by adding little crossbars inside.
So here are your measurements.
First cut your A4 cardstock at the 15cm mark lengthways.
Then Score at 7cm.I have one side at 7cm for the Box Flaps and the other at 8cm for the actual Box.
You can make yours any size you like of course. I just like the Box to be slightly bigger so you can see it.
CLICK ON ANY PHOTO TO ENLARGE IT.
THESE ARE THE INSERTS FOR THE BOX. JUST FOLD THEM ON THE SCORE LINES AND ATTACH THEM WITH ADHESIVE. CLOSE TO THE TOP OF THE BOX.
YOU CAN HAVE AS MANY AS YOU CAN FIT BUT TWO IS THE MINIMUM I WOULD RECOMMEND.
I hope you enjoyed this little tutorial and could follow it. LOL.
I just love Card in the Box Cards for all special occasions. It really is a WOW card.
And this one was for my beautiful daughter-in-law. I will add a sneaky photo of her.
Have a marvellous day. Vx
