Beautiful You Surprise Pop Up

(Featuring: Beautiful You and Birthday Blast Stamp sets. Star Blast Edgelit dies. Pop Up Card.)

Keeping with the Beautiful You Stamping theme from last week I wanted to share with you my Art Deco theme card.
This idea came from Jane Allmark of AmethyStar Crafting. She posted a great card where she extended the dress and added a few lines to this lady to create a completely different style of outfit. I thought it was very cool and just had to give it a try myself.

I have coloured her with our new SU watercolour pencils and added (non SU) blue glitter glue for sparkle.

Using a black Project Life Journalling pen 01 - I added a sweeping line to the bottom of her dress to lengthen it. I added lines from her shoulder to meet her dress line to create a dress with straps.
I also added a stamp from Botanical Blooms to the hat to give it more glamour.

Art Deco is all about angles and lines so I went a bit crazy with our new Stitched Frame Thinlits. I have even cut one in half to add to two of the corners.
The flower is from Botanical Builders Framelits and the stars from the brand new Star Blast Edgelits Dies.
Designer Paper - Party Animal.
Colours: Black, White, Silver and Pacific Point.
I just loved the way this card turned out but such an eye-catching card needs something special on the inside don't you think???

How is this!!!
What a Birthday Blast (play on words).
Yes this is from the Birthday Blast Bundle which is the Birthday Blast Stamp Set and Star Blast Edgelits Dies (don't you just love these little beauties!)

I created a very simple pop out for my Star Blast Edgelits to sit against.

I have glued the top half to the base card
but not the bottom half so you can see it from the other side.

This is a piece of white cardstock. 28cm x 10cm. Folded in half at 14cm. Keep folded.
On the 10cm folded edge mark with a pencil at 3cm and then at 7cm. Rule a line 2cm  up from the folded edge. Now cut up 2cm from your 3cm and 7cm mark to the ruled line.
Bend the cut piece back and forth. Open your white cardstock and push this centre piece out so it looks like the picture.
I hope you enjoyed this card and maybe make some pop-ups of your own too. They are so easy and add such a fun element.

We are off for a few days out to the Gatton farmhouse with Rosie. She just loves it out there. Here are a few pics of  her a couple of weeks ago. The ground is bare at the moment but broccoli is going to be planted soon.
Stay tuned.

( Hurry up Mum.)
(I am sure I can smell something interesting on this tree. Possum perhaps??? )
(It went this way.!)

Have a great day and I will catch up again next week. Thanks for stopping by. Vx
