First Walk in the Woodlands - JAI#286
The Woodlands Embossing Folder was love at first sight for me!
One of the first things on my order I couldn't wait to use it.
Such a versatile little embossing folder for every occasion but as Christmas is getting closer now, so
here is a Christmas Card I made.
I have just seen that the girls over at Just-add-ink. blogspot.com.au have a Challenge running at the moment and it is just add "W". (Please click on link above to see what others have come up with.)
So I think I am in with this one.
It is quite hard to photograph but I tried to catch the light on it so you could see some of the sparkle from the gold embossing, sequins, diamantes and the dazzling diamond glimmer cards stock.
I used Smoky Slate for the card base.
The Woodlands Embossing folder was brayered with Crumbcake ink, then I placed my white cardstock in and ran it through the Bigshot.
Hey Presto! Crumbcake background!
I stamped leaves from Lovely as a Tree Stamp and spots from Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set, in gold ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder.
At the bottom of the card I added a whisper white piece hand torn and some dazzling diamond glimmer cardstock cut to look like snow. Well that is what it is supposed to represent anyway. LOL.
Finished with Merry Christmas embossed with white embossing powder from Versatile Christmas Stamp set.
Really loved this card and how it turned out. Brayering the embossing folder is a fun easy technique to apply colour. Why not give it a try yourself. and don't forget to pop over to Just add Ink there is still time to play along too.
Thanks for stopping by. Come back soon. Vx
