Ornamental Pine
Hello everyone,
HAPPY NEW YEAR!! WELCOME TO 2015!!
Now I know that Christmas is done and dusted for another year but....
I decided that I would show you the card I made for my husband for Christmas.
It uses the the fantastic set Ornamental Pine from the Holiday Mini which is about to retire any day now!!!
At this time of the year I also use some of my non-su stamps that I had bought prior to joining Stampin Up.
I do love Stampin Up Stamps and use them almost exclusively but at Christmas after I have done so many Christmas cards with Stampin Up Products I like to break out and see what else is lying at the bottom of the cupboard.
And that is where I found this reindeer stamp and the On Dasher On Dancer word stamp!
I immediately knew I had to combine them with the Ornamental Pine.
I sponged around the very vanilla card stock with mossy meadow and added lots of lovely gold embossing powder too. Then I topped that with some gold glass glitter and at the bottom edge of the card added dazzling diamonds for a snowy look.
It turned out just how I imagined! Which is rare! LOL! and hubby liked it too. (of course!).
So if you like this set as much as I do I would suggest you need to get your skates on because the Holiday Catalogue finishes the 5th JANUARY!
You can find it on page 27 of the Holiday Catalogue.
And while you are checking it out think about the Endless Wishes Set p.32 as well. This one is a great versatile set as well.
And then we have the All Occasions Catalogue come out on the 6th January!!!
Plus Saleabration starts too!!!
So much happening.
Stay tuned!!! I have a sneak peek coming next time.
Thanks for stopping by. Vx

I used Cherry Cobbler card stock for my base and a piece of retired su dsp for a border.
The pine needles are stamped in Mossy Meadow and the pinecone is embossed with gold embossing powder.I sponged around the very vanilla card stock with mossy meadow and added lots of lovely gold embossing powder too. Then I topped that with some gold glass glitter and at the bottom edge of the card added dazzling diamonds for a snowy look.

Beautiful card. Love the glitter edging. The stamp sets you recommend are really great and I was lucky enough to win the Endless Wishes set at a recent Christmas event which was wonderful. I've just ordered from the going out occasions catalogue and I'm drooling over all the gorgeous stuff in the new occasions. Stampin Up never ceases to amaze me how they always bring out such beautiful things which reels me back in again.
ReplyDeleteYou and hubby have good taste, Vicki. This card is beautiful. I love the two stamp sets you used and have not finished playing with Ornamental Pine or Endless Wishes either! Lol! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you Vicki! Such a wonderful card to finish the Christmas season on. Love the glass glitter and the wonderful Dasher and words. So gorgeous and timeless :-)
