Tea for Two - Tea Caddy

I have always wanted to make one of these Tea Caddy Boxes so when I got my Tea for Two designer paper it seemed destiny to put the two together! hehe. I used black cardstock for the base and some natural trim and pearls around the edge of the lid.

Come and have a closer look.
Here's a view of the lid. What do you think of my flower?
This flower was made with two Blossom Punched flowers using the Tea for Two designer series paper. I scrunched them up and inked them lightly on the edges with black ink. I then used one of the new designer builder brads to hold them together. On top of the brad I have placed a little flower from the flower trim (p.5 of the new mini) with a large pearl attached to the centre. Then I spritzed the whole lot with some gorgeous shimmer paint mist to give it a sparkly appearance. Phew! Did you see that my flower is green? More on that later.

I bet you think there are only tea bags in this Tea Caddy?
Nope! I managed to squeeze in some choc caramel eclairs as well! Something sweet with your tea?

I love the words in the Tea Shoppe Stamp Set. This stamp set is a perfect fit with the Tea for Two designer paper too. (p.57 main catalogue) Though I really wish I could stop taking photos on an angle! LOL!

Now about that fabric flower from the flower trim being green? Yes I coloured it with some re inker. I also coloured a few more to show everyone how easy it was. These were used as hostess gifts and lucky door prizes.
You can also use your inkpad and a sponge dauber to colour them. Blend the ink into the flower with an aqua painter.

I hope you liked my Tea Caddy and flower trim flowers today. Please leave a comment I love hearing from you.
