Buttons, Bows and Baby

Well I am not really one for buttons and bows (reminds me a bit too much of the '80s'! haha.)
But The Paper Players Challenge was just that this week.

As you may know I have set myself a challenge this year to do more Clean and Simple (CAS) cards so I just had to have a go at this.
I couldn't resist using the new Happy Whale Clear Sizzlit in the Seasonal Mini. I love this whale and I am sure you will be seeing lots of him.
I have used Summer Starfruit for my background. Pacific Point for the whale and Marina Mist and Midnight Muse for the background.
Come and have a closer look at the background. I think it is pretty nifty.
This is just sponge daubers with Marina Mist and Midnight Muse dabbed on a piece of whisper white. I even went round the edge with the Midnight Muse sponge dauber. Then I sprayed it with some shimmer paint mist to make it all sparkly. (wish you could see it IRL).
For a touch more sparkle I used some dazzling diamond glitter on the hearts and star at the top. These come with the Happy Whale Sizzlit too. You get a star, heart, anchor, fish and the little water bursts with the whale! Fantastic value for AU$12.95!  (the smaller heart is from the Owl Builder Punch. I just added that to tie in with the hearts at the top.)

So where are those buttons and bows you may ask?

Here they are!! I used the Clear Bitty Buttons and backed them with some Pacific Point Cardstock. Some white bakers twine to add to the Nautical Feel of the card and a little white twine bow in the centre to finish it off! The Scallop edge is from the Tasteful Trim Bigz XL Die that I love so much.

So do you think I achieved the Clean and Simple Look today????
Please leave a comment and let me know. I love hearing from you.

Be sure to come back next week. I have the Quick Tutorial on making Pinwheels for you.
