Paper Patchwork Christmas card
Featuring: Traditions of Christmas designer paper, Elegant Snowflake Pines designer paper, Paper patchwork card, Stampin UP!
HAPPY DECEMBER WEDNESDAY WONDERS!!!
I really love Patchwork but don't have the patience or skill so a paper patchwork card is my answer.
Also a really great way to use up scraps - even the paper you don't particularly like that much looks good. lol.
I used a combination of two designer series paper sets and I think they look great!
Cardbase - 14.5cm x 14.5cm crumbcake
White - 14cm x 14cm
Old Olive Two Tone cardstock - 13.5cm x 13,5cm
As you go around adding your paper squares, if they don't quite fit at the end just cut them to fit or overlap them. I have done this in the bottom line - did you notice?
This is a rustic quilt haha.
For the inside piece -
Measure your internal square and add about two or three millimetres to the size of your inside old olive piece to tidy up any edges that may not have been straight.
Add a white piece layer on top 0.5cm (half a centimetre) smaller than your old olive square.
Now for your triangles.
3 x rectangles
mine are:
3.5cm x 7cm
3.5cm x 6cm
3.5 cm x 5 cm.
(you can easily adjust these sizes to suit )
Tree truncheons is 1.5cm x 2 cm and tucked under the tree.
Add your star and greeting and you are finished
Inside you can add any extra cut squares to the bottom for a nice border.
Hope you enjoyed this card.
Have a great week. Vx
