Patchwork Bird Card
Featuring: Patchwork bird card technique and instructions.
HAPPY WEDNESDAY WONDERS!!!
I love patchwork and quilting and admire anyone who has mastered the craft. Unable to quilt does not stop me however attempting to replicate some of the beautiful designs with my paper and cardstock. lol.
I found this bird design and Pinterest and gave it a go. I had a few stops and starts with various combinations of the designer papers but eventually settled on this.
Three different papers/cardstock seemed to work best for me.
One for the head and chest. One for the wings and one for the bottom half.
The designer paper I used is a Saleabration set from several years ago.

Here are my tips for the bird.
The squares are 3cm x 3cm except for one square (wings) which are 4cm x 4cm.
The top wing just tucks under the square for the chest a little.
The squares are either full squares or cut in half diagonally to make a triangle. One triangle (back of head) is cut in half again to make a small quarter triangle.
The beak is a piece of cardstock cut on the corner.
The eye is drawn with a black sharpie or felt pen.
The top of the birds head has a corner cut to give a better shape.
Use an embossing folder once you have glued down your bird pieces. You can use any one you like. I have used a floral design on the pink card and a cane weave on the blue card.
Have a great week. Vx
