In the Country

HAPPY WEDNESDAY WONDERS!!!

Saleabration is fast approaching its' final days. Have you checked out all the free products available with a  $90/$180 product spend?

In the Country is a stamp set I wouldn't usually pick. But I decided that being a "free" product, it was a good choice to explore the watercolour genre.

                                                        

I have been pleasantly surprised.

Using Watercolour pencils and an aquapainter I found the Country Scene very easy to use. I was very happy with the end result.

I thought it looked like a painting so decided to "frame" it on my Soft Succulent base card. 

I layered it with Whisper White, Gold Shimmer Card, Soft Succulent Shimmer card (the shimmer card is available in a pack on page 15 Occasions Catalogue 2023).

Inside I stamped a part of the image just on the sides.

Here is the other stamp in the set. This one looks perhaps like a crumbling villa somewhere in Europe perhaps? I wasn't as confident colouring this one. I found you really needed to use light colours on the stone work so you don't hide all the shaded detail.

I used my brick emboss folder on the piece once it was watercoloured.

Overall I was happy with my watercolour pencil scene cards.
