Penguin Quilted Christmas tree Step Card

Featuring: Saleabration Penguin Playmates dsp, Step Panel Card, Quilt card technique, pop up technique, Christmas 2021, Stampin Up

Happy Wednesday Wonders!!!

Well I am still on the "quilting theme" lol. This was a fun and easy card to make.
Step Card Base - Just Jade 10.5cm x 27cm. Score at 15cm, 18cm, 21cm, 24cm. To create the pop up base.

The Tree is a 9cm x 9cm piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock. Mark the centre at the top of the card 4.5cm and just cut diagonally from the bottom to the centre on both sides to create the triangle tree.
Each of the triangles are started as a square 3cm x 3cm and you again just mark the centre top at 1.5cm and cut diagonally from the bottom each side to create your triangle. I only used 6 triangles as the background card did some of the work. You can see where I left the Fresh Freesia cardstock to be on display.

To hold the Tree in place and allow it to pop out a bit as well I created two pop up pieces. Long rectangles.
They are 4 cm long and 2 cm wide. Cut two strips of cardstock 2cm x 14cm. Score them each at 2cm, 6cm, 8cm, 12 cm.
Attach one against the base pop up piece as shown. Attach the next one to it as shown. They are also glued to the base of the card.

Glue your tree to this pop up piece about 2cm above the bottom. This then becomes your tree trunk.
Embellish your card as desired.

Have a great week. Vx
