HAPPY WEDNESDAY WONDERS!!!

Have I got a card for you today!! Fathers Day is just over a week away so I pulled out all the stops to create something a little bit special. A Pop Up Chair card!!

Any ways.... the card.
I have used current and retired products on this card but it would be an easy swap to what you can find in the current catalogues or your own stash.
Greeting  from Inspired Thoughts -Annual Catalogue
Card Base - Garden Green
Very Vanilla Mat
Simply Elegant dsp mat
Scene on Very Vanilla 6cm x 10cm.
Scene created with retired stamps from Lilypad Lake and Framed for You.
but you can use anything you like for a picture or scene for the front.

When you open the card it has a pop up chair. With a picture on the wall, a pot plant by the leg of the chair, a little handmade book and a rug at the foot of the chair.

Creating the scene is the best fun!! Just use what you have in your stamps and dies or even create something out of paper and cardstock (like the book).

It took me ages to create this template and I hope the instructions are clear enough for you to follow.
The measurements are in metric.

So here are the measurements and instructions.
Please remember to click on the picture to enlarge it.

Solid line is scoring.
Dotted line is cutting.
Score everything first then go back and cut.
Chair in designer paper or cardstock start with 8.5cm x 26cm.

This shows how it should look when cut
out.
Where to place glue (only up to first score
line)
M - is Mountain fold
V  - is Valley fold

Opened out when glued down

An example using designer paper. Where to place glue. Then fold your card down onto the glued pieces.
Now they are attached. Fold up your chair.
Like this. And then place your glue.adhesive onto the bottom strips. Just to the first score line.
Close up your card onto the glued strips.
When you open it again. It should hopefully look like this.

I do hope you will give this a go if you like pop up cards. Imagine this in a lovely floral chintz for girlfriend. With a flower arrangement picture on the wall. Or even a window looking out to a garden. Or it could be an outside garden seat sitting amongst a lovely garden and tree background....the ideas are endless really.

Have a great week. Vx.
