Orange Garden Gate Z Fold

Wondering what I have been up to at the craft table?
I saw this awesome youtube video of a Z Fold Step Card. Done by Doris Pichler, a German Stampin'UP! demonstrator. The video is in German but she does have some measurements on there and I was able to bumble along with just a quick look and create this little 'masterpiece'.

It folds flat for posting and my card fits nicely into a regular C6 envelope.

This was made for a special friend who loves the colour Orange. So I had to make sure I incorporated some of that colour for her. lol.

The base card is Grapefruit Grove (a retiring In colour).
I cut a whisper white piece for the front and sponged a background in Seaside Spray and Pear Pizzaz.
Then I used the Garden Gate dies and Grace's Garden stamps to create a little Garden Gate and flower garden. (butterfly is from Positive Thoughts)

When you pull back the front and open the card you see some steps.
I created the brick wall with a retired Brick Emboss Folder (but there is a current one)

I used the Varied Vases (retiring stamp set) to sit on the steps.
They are attached with a strip of acetate and there is another punched vase behind the stamped one for extra support.

If you pull the front piece right back you get a good view of the brick wall.

I thought I was rather clever using the top piece of Garden Gate as a window.

Here you can see the back of the vases.

And on the back of the card I have a space for writing a greeting.
