Merry Little Christmas.

Have you seen the Merry Little Christmas Simply Created Card Kit? Page 27 in the Holiday Mini. This is a picture of the card you can make using the Bundle (which includes the Stamp). You get enough product to make 8 cards and matching envelopes with liners.
I decided to have a play with this set and see what else I could come up with with just a minimum of extra supplies.

Here I have embossed the cardstock with the new Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder p.22.
I added a little bit of old olive and red glimmer cardstock to the centre pieces. The stamp has been inked in red and green with stampin up markers. Real Red and Old Olive. and cut out with the big  2 1/2 inch circle punch.

This time I embossed the white tag with the Northern Flurry Embossing Folder and add some snowflakes in Silver glimmer card and coastal cabana inked on white.

I didn't use the white tag this time. Instead I used a pretty paper doiley. The words are punched out with the large scallop 2 3/8 inch circle punch. I had the idea that the red button looked a bit like a holly berry so made some holly leaves with old olive cardstock punched out with a 1/2 inch circle punch along the edges. Sponge old olive ink around edges for depth and add a thin line down the middle of each leaf.

I have embossed the white tag with the Petals-a-Plenty Embossing Folder. Added a small strip of red glimmer card down the edge and stamped in green at the bottom of the greeting with one of the other stamps in the set.

Do you see the red and white polka dot paper behind the greeting? That is some of the envelope liner from the card kit. By cutting off a portion I still didn't compromise my pretty envelope liners. They just didn't go all the way to the bottom of the envelope. I have placed the white tag in front of real red cardstock. The red button has a diamante in the centre of it.

I couldn't resist making another holly piece I used the chalk talk framelits largest frame to cut out the white tag and then embossed with Petals-a-Plenty. A real red banner runs down the back of it.

And here they all are with some of the envelopes as well. A great idea for quick Christmas cards really and as I have just shown they can be jazzed up a little to take away from the generic look without too much effort.
And that is what we all like as it gets closer and closer to Christmas! hehe.
If you would like to purchase a card kit you do so through my online store.

Hope you enjoyed seeing these. Please leave a comment if you like. I love hearing from you.
Next time I want to show you the Card Box I made to put them in so make sure you pop back soon.
Until then, Happy Stamping Vx
