Using some gorgeous products from the Holiday Catalogue, I started with Soft Sky Card stock for my card base.

Hearth and Home Window thinlits and the trees and words from Happy Scenes in Night of Navy. p.10
A beautiful wooden snowflake inked in white craft ink and topped with iced rhinestone embellishment. I also added extra glitter to the snowflake and the front of the card.
But it is what is inside that makes this card so special. Come and have a look....
Aaaahhhh... Isn't that pretty?!
3 little wooden snowflakes suspended with thin silver metallic thread from a centre piece.
I couldn't resist adding a sleigh ride edgelit to the inside of the card.
Here is a top view so you can see how it is done. Make a square - mine is scored at 3.5cm.
I used the new tear and tape adhesive on the inside of the square to hold the metallic thread. Then covered it with some designer paper.
Looking at it now I am thinking I could have stamped some snowflakes or stars across the top white piece of card stock as well. Oh well, maybe next time.
The most fiddly part of this whole card was threading the metallic thread through the wooden snowflakes, but once that was done it was pretty smooth sailing.
I am thinking this style of card could be adapted to various other styles of cards. I can see flowers or butterflies or BOTH hanging from the inside! Hmmmm.....
I am having a week's break from cards but will be back again next week so be sure to pop back as I have plenty more cards to show you.
And don't forget to pop over the the Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge and check them out! Vx
